We pretty much use this exclusively when we travel - it's frictionless - just turn on data roaming when you land and that's it - you get to use your own phone number and talk / text as if you're in the US
meant to say 'no eSIM needed'
If your carrier in the US is ATT, just use their $10 per day (I think) international add-on - for $10 / day, you get to just use your normal US plan while you're traveling - that means if your US plan includes unlimited data, calling, text, etc. you just get to use that - so eSIM needed
