Finally!! Two hummingbirds have been coming around multiple times a day since the crocosmia is blooming. I noticed they have been checking out the lilies as well but they are a bit early. I have been trying to get video but they always dart off just as I get to the garden.

We did have a great day!! It was sunny and then after the movie we stopped at our favourite brewery had a couple of beers and then came home and stuffed our faces with our turkey hot pockets.

I may be quickly going into a turkey coma...again...3 days running. 😀

It's the lies and disinformation.

As a British citizen, Orwell went and worked as a policeman in Burma. That really informed his whole views of the world. He said after that experience "the oppressed are always right and the oppressors are always wrong.".

His words still stand today.

It is an absolutely brilliant documentary. For a Monday afternoon the theatre was quite packed.

It's so weird how history changes but not really.

The saddest thing was that Trump is featured quite heavily it in as does J6. Book bans. The wealth gap. AOC was in it.

Mon. aft. movie - Orwell 2+2=5 directed by Raoul Peck.

Orwell died at 47 in 1950 from tuberculosis just after he finished writing 1984.

The movie is absolutely brilliant. Peck mixes in Orwell's words with past & present authoritarians. His words echo throughout the ages.

Cannot recommend enough.

Movie poster for Orwell 2+2=5. It shows a giant eyeball with a man standing, back towards the viewer, in front of a giant eyeball. Big Brother is always watching.

We sucked the first time we made them the first time. My husband is now arguing that point with me. 😀

We have vastly improved making them and it's a treat sensation!!

For Holli. This Diamond Dot piece measures around 600x680mm, contains around 70,000 pieces & took Lae three months to complete. She doesn't recommend this one, it takes too long to finish. It does look really nice though.
