It feels really confusing. I’m stuck between thinking Pochita isn’t cooperating either b/c he doesn’t think Asa is right to sacrifice herself and there’s a legit 3rd choice or he’s doing it b/c Denji would be sad if she/Yoru were erased.

I’m just confused or surprised at every chapter. Idk

I mean, she is arguably one of the most prominent characters behind Denji and is going through character progression, so you could say she is a protagonist w/i the story.

I don’t know what her conclusion will be, but the plot continuously taking her agency away really doesn’t serve her character.

Feels like Fujimoto is more interested in characters serving Denji’s story.

Like having Miri and Yoshida converse could make an interesting scene and reinforce their respective beliefs, but that’s not something that would contribute to or progress Denji’s journey without reducing that interaction.

It’s possible, if the insane reality described by Makima prior to Pochita erasing most of it existed. That would also mean Death couldn’t be as strong as she presently is due to other “conclusions to human life” existing.

I know people theorize Kishibe as being part of a bigger plan, but I can’t see his character being a conniver. Maybe I’m not seeing the text put out enough active connections or maybe it feels like PS is a 3rd wheel, even within their own schemes.

Like the current story point feels too big for PS.

It feels really dangerous b/c Pochita shows no alignment to morals or principles, simply his host’s well-being. And we’ve already seen him happily wave Denji off onto a toxic mindset.

On top of that, his interpretation is the decider here, which is a big miscalculation.

guide Denji to an actual reason— which is odd. He clearly tells Denji about Makima and asks him to raise Nayuta with love.

I’ve always felt Pochita ‘was off’ since he reappeared in Part 2 and I’m curious about if this situation will give us more insight into him beyond Denji’s well-being.

Denji to regain his will to live and dream and that entertaining Yoru’s combat is working toward that.

On the surface, what Pochita has been doing can be seen as a nurturing gesture, reminding his friend that his life has been and will be satiating. On the other hand, Pochita has no desire to

We end at an impasse where Pochita once again refuses to comply to a demand/order. The obvious beat is that Denji would not emotionally recover from Asa’s sacrifice, so Pochita will refuse it.

The more concerning rationale would be if Pochita believes Yoru’s promise of sex would allow

Basically another word meaning ‘to seduce’ someone, but the implication is that it’s a woman seducing a man, I think. You’ll see that word used in spy books/movies often.

Reze was supposed to be a honeypot for Denji, for example.
