After much mulling it over… I’ve reconciled with myself and now understand if this story is to reach any form of completion it should be through the medium of comics 💔

thinking about this again fresh off rewatching edward scissorhands and beetlejuice. what great movies. all the tim burton films from that era have absolutely no interest in logical lore, just a central concept so compelling that you don't care. it makes you want to believe.
