Leftist on principle: socialist, BLM, defund the police etc. Not very tribal about it. Might even disagree with you about something once in a while. Unreconstructed Web 1.0 guy: still have a visitor count and a guest book on my home page

A London friend of mine used to answer his phone "Knightsbridge 4607" just to weird people out. This was only maybe 15 years ago. (And he didn't live within two miles of Knightsbridge.)

For their followers it's basically another form of identity construction. Theirs is the "why can't everyone see things as clearly as I do?" form. One of its tics is to point out someone else's "fallacy" using a sentence that contains two or three of their own, all entirely invisible to them.

Think about it. What are they going to do instead, become guards at Rikers? Nowhere to go but down for this kind of cop.

Those all seem to be tripcheck cameras, so you can cut out the middleman and go straight there, where there's a clickable map and everything.

Do you revel in all this power? In your shoes I'd find it hard not to just stand in front of the mirror and FLEX.

You're talking about people who are unable to absorb and comprehend a simple reminder of who was President of the United States 2017-2020 inclusive.

Because "the audience doesn't want to hear about it" of course. Probably because they've no idea what it's about. And the Reform-pumping media mean to keep it that way.

Sounded to me like she was trying to shut down any mention of it. How many other cases can you find of the QT moderator actively preventing discussion of a topic the moment it starts in that way?
