Apparently Drew Struzan had a very Salvador Dali-looking shelf on which he kept clocks. Guy had cool taste in interior design.

As for the costume of the 14-month-old Nicole, the Wylers found that all the teddy bear costumes were sold out at the store, so they settled on a koala costume. This worked out, as Nicole, as a fan of Aussie culture… 🧵

Roz actually wanted to be a sack of rice, and Maddie wanted to be a bottle of toum. They made these details to their costumes behind her back, not revealing them to her until it was time for this photo. Dolly, as shown in the photo, was bemused by the fact… 🧵

In 2004, when Dolly decided she wanted to be a vampire (a strawberry-eating variety) for All Hallows’, Roz and Maddie talked her into making costumes of a potato sack and a mayonnaise bottle, respectively.

However, as she would learn the hard way, this was a ruse. 🧵

It's a great song on its own, but as a fan of this kind of effect, it's amazing to see how well this music video did the effect a whole decade before the most famous piece of visual media to use it.

Best of Eurovision 1989: "Rock Me" (Yugoslavia). Of all the songs Yugoslavia submitted to Eurovision, I'm glad it's this one that actually won the contest.

Worst of Eurovision 1989: "Derekh Hamelekh" (Israel). That kid's voice is annoying.

Here’s to addiction! #UFO50

As of today, Adler has logged over 100 hours on UFO 50 for Nintendo Switch. Specifically, 102 hours, 13 minutes, and 26 seconds, over which they earned sixteen gold disks and eight cherry. Not shown, Adler has only played every game in chronological order up to Valbrace. So… that should say how addicting this collection is.

Adler’s gold disk run of Overbold on UFO 50 for Nintendo Switch, took 18 minutes, 11 seconds, and 574 milliseconds. Games of Overbold usually last for less than that, so Adler assumes Overbold starts counting time from the title screen and counts game overs.

Adler actually spent five hours, twelve minutes, and thirty-eight seconds across six sessions to get Overbold’s gold disk.

Earlier, I also golded Overbold! It’s got quite the difficulty curve on it. It’s more fun when Alpha has her weapon and health upgrades… which will usually be late in the game. Not a favorite. But I sank over five hours into it, so obviously it did something right. #UFO50

This week, I obtained my fifteenth gold disk on #UFO50, for Pingolf! It’s… pretty fun when you figure out the physics. Maybe it’ll be an easy cherry?

Special mention to Austria for putting out a song so awful that I burst into laughter from how hilariously awful it is. Eurovision's known for its novelty songs, but I never took it for putting out something so bad it's hilarious.

Best of Eurovision 1988: "Shangri-La" (Netherlands). This sounds like the theme to an anime and I love it for that.

Worst of Eurovision 1988: "Sókrates" (Iceland). Having John Wayne and Christopher Columbus as people you admire, is not something to admit to.

The handle screwed off to reveal the compartment for the candy. The ‘hammer’ got so heavy during trick-or-treating, that Dolly’s friend Stella had to help her carry it.

Between making the Amy costume, she also made dark Chao outfits for her two-year-old sisters, Roz and Maddie, knowing the dark Chao to be both of their favorites.

Dolly also designed her candy basket to resemble the Piko Piko hammer.
