We're grateful to partner with Passive House California, including PHCA member Avril Martin, founder of The Silver Lining Interior Design. Passive House California is dedicated to promoting the awareness, understanding, and application of the Passive House standard in the state of California.
The text is a quote from Avril Martin, member of Passive House California. "We want to honor the city's diverse architectural legacy while promoting fire-resistant, energy efficient rebuilding strategies that reflect the vernacular of the homes lost in the January fires. This approach not only preserves cultural identity but also sets a precedent for sustainable, community-focused reconstruction in fire-prone regions."
The Passive House Network, in collaboration with Passive House California (PHCA) and supported by ROCKWOOL, is announcing a new design competition. We invite architects and designers to showcase the power of Passive House in creating sustainable, healthy, and diverse fire-resilient communities.
The text says "California Rebuilds: A Passive House Design Competition. Submission Deadline: September 30, 2025. The logos of The Passive House Network and Passive House California are included, with support from Rockwool. The background is an abstract view of a city block.
