I'm just some lady 🏳️‍⚧️ from New England, "of mean and vile condition".
I spent some time watching Canadian geese at the reservoir at sunset (on their way south for the winter). They mostly squawked at each other and made a ruckus about nothing. Lots of fun!

We're 7 months in and Trump and the oligarchs have completely seized control of the media. If you criticize them, your show will be pulled from the air.

This is what dictators do. Fascism isn't coming, it's here.

There are three Truth and Reconciliation commissions the United States needs to undertake before this nation ever has a chance to heal:

1) the original genocide of Native Americans

2) the sabotage of Reconstruction

3) the unwillingness to hold the Republican Party responsible for January 6th
And whoever it is will have to hold these fascists accountable. We can’t give them a pass like was done to the confederacy after the civil war

I draw an absolute line at voting to strip myself of equal rights. Sorry if that's hard to comprehend, but it's not changing.

Big fan of democracy but we'll have to admit it's an L of historic proportions to get subverted and destroyed not by some strategic genius but by possibly the dumbest man on earth

Nobody said it would be easy, but Republicans found a way to cut taxes for the rich while taking away your healthcare. A story of true heroism.

“A 2010 study that analyzed 40 years of protest coverage in five major newspapers, including The New York Times and The Washington Post, found that the papers depicted protests — even peaceful ones — as nuisances rather than as necessary functions of democracy.”

Being trans right now is waking up on Supreme Court decision days wondering if decades of precedent will be overruled to decide that we as a class no longer have constitutional protections from discrimination.

With the New York Times continuing its attack on trans people, I wrote about its failures and how Azeen Ghorayshi has led the charge to weaponize their coverage against the trans community and launder anti-trans talking points into the mainstream.

I do not endorse car hood pooping, but pooping on someone's car is arguably better than punching them in the face.

TIL, 90s music video legend Hype Williams still makes music videos. Seeing as how it's 2025 and we can't have nice things, of course he makes music videos for Kanye.

Trump has set up a new club where CEOs, tech bros, and foreign oligarchs can pay $500,000 to join in order to get access to the Trump Cabinet who will all be there regularly.

Just because the grift is all public doesn’t mean this isn’t the most corrupt White House in history.

Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy isn’t drawing arena-size crowds like Bernie Sanders and AOC are as he tours the country talking to voters. But in a packed concert hall in rural North Carolina, people are starting to view the Democrat as worthy of the national spotlight.

The rationale behind Trump's tariffs is the same rationale behind attacking Trans rights. It's called zero-sum thinking, & it's a cognitive bias. It's essentially, "if X gains, Y loses", where X & Y are two countries, or two people, or two groups of people, etc. 1/2

Interesting fact: Minnesota became the 32nd U.S. state on May 11, 1858. The founding population was so overwhelmingly of New England origins that the state was dubbed "the New England of the West."
