There are three Truth and Reconciliation commissions the United States needs to undertake before this nation ever has a chance to heal:
1) the original genocide of Native Americans
2) the sabotage of Reconstruction
3) the unwillingness to hold the Republican Party responsible for January 6th

The rationale behind Trump's tariffs is the same rationale behind attacking Trans rights. It's called zero-sum thinking, & it's a cognitive bias. It's essentially, "if X gains, Y loses", where X & Y are two countries, or two people, or two groups of people, etc. 1/2
