That's all to say I always try to bike on the road, but there are weird spots and moments when I'll go onto the sidewalk if able because I don't want to get killed by a car.

I have never had any trouble giving pedestrians room because hopping off a bike takes two seconds.
It is funny that I've never gotten around to seeing that movie. It has been on my list forever because it has six of my favorite actors ever, but I just can't stand period pieces.
Typing up my writing, realizing I spelled liaison wrong about 50 times...
Had my first day of typing up a draft, and on current pace it will take me ~two months to finish.

I'm hoping to speed this up, but building out the settings takes time, because past me figured future me would just deal with it.
Every Digimon show should be desperate to appear modern and comment on technology of the day, but actually dwell one step in the past.

That tension is what makes Digimon interesting (I say confidently, having not seen one since Tamers/the Iraq War)
Car that looks like it was built in the Digimon 90's with a modern city as backdrop.
Kid got the chameleon twist Digimon, thinks he is living in the future when he still in 1997.
Chameleon Tonging a window while Digimon Beatbreak boy looks on, shocked.
Digimon kid's tomodachi smartphone immediately searching something up perfectly sums up my feelings towards ai overview.
Digimon Beatbreak boy huddled, saying "I said shut up."
...my boss was out today, so I might've overstepped my bounds...

Unofficially, I'm good at moving people around to where they need to be in the moment.

Kinda funny that there was this tutor who was always skittish around me, but he was key to the whole day working. Gonna steal him in the future.
I spent half of today trying to get one specific person in my room for one block for one student.

This is part of a broader effort to help a different student. I also might've gotten a para who isn't assigned here, but it will all come together.

Hashtag machinations.
One of those "I knew from the start, but I am hopelessly sad" moments.
Robot having fallen into the beautiful night-lit water, with only an empty jacket remaining on the cliff. From Touring After the Apocalypse.
But good job creating some beautiful post-apocalyptic idylls after the end of humanity. Props for that.
The only thing to shout towards the past.
Yoko shouting "You idiot!" towards the sea.
Spending $250 just to burn $15,000.
Lucille Bluth from Arrested Development saying "Good for her."
Oh, they imagined history happening *to* them, that's wild. Someone jump on a motorcycle and get that to the press.
Listening to economists talk about Sociology 101 concepts will drive me mad.
I love that this show is, like, don't worry we'll cover every catastrophic scenario. All of them ended humanity, as a team effort.
Main character from Touring After the Apocalypse saying "Didn't Big Sis say that sea levels were rising all over the world?"
Someday I am going to put together a post-Covid education art essay.
Main character from Touring After the Apocalypse sitting at a desk, with posters and scrawling on all the walls, looking to a monitor with her sister on it.
I'd be too embarrassed to describe the story, but after a frustrating summer of making no progress I finally hit on the voice it needed.

The two months since have been quite the sprint (...for my pace, as I am an incredibly slow writer).
lol I said this yesterday, and this morning that friend sniped me by sending the David Brooks article before I could.

It was a busy day! That's not fair!
I would stop reading the Atlantic, but one of my joys in life is trying to send a horrendous article to a friend before he can send it to me. We have been doing this for over a decade, and it is largely how we stay in touch.
It took moving to a different bench under a streetlight to read what I'm writing, but the pre-draft of my novella is finished.

68 notebook pages filled with plenty of scribbling, notes, and crossed-out words. Now I've gotta type it all up.
I'm a normal person who does normal things all the time. We're all having fun out here in the textual world.
Anyone who knows me knows of my struggle to right this wrong. What is placed within a quote is a sacred oath, but you would ram a comma down their throat? If they did not speak that comma how dare you quote it!
Characters this season I immediately decided are the best based on zero information:
Girl from the ED of May I Ask for One Final Thing reflected in a twisted way. Older Sister (?) from Touring After the Apocalypse pictured through a phone screen. Marie 2 from Mechanical Marie. She looks like a robot and I love her.
NOOOOOOOOO please don't kill Marie 2, she deserves to live!
Marie clashing with Marie 2 from Mechanical Marie, both wearing maid outfits. Arthur saying "Marie, I know everything." While his handler clutches Marie 2's corpse, who died in shock.
