Due to overwhelming popular demand (my tech savvy daughter Jenny) I have - at age 64 - created my first ever website. A great place to gather together previews and reviews of the new book. Enjoy…and thanks to all of you on here who have contributed comments already. sites.google.com/view/1945the...

I saw this tremendous book off the plot this evening. As they say Roger Moorhouse has knocked it out of the park. Highly recommended. #histbookchat

I finished listening to “1944: The Reckoning” by @philmcraig.bsky.social today, and now I’m sad because I didn’t want it to end! I got attached to many of the people he profiles in the book (especially nurse Angela). I’m going to have to listen again from the start. Beautiful book, well narrated!

Having read "1945: The Reckoning by @philmcraig.bsky.social, I thought I would revisit Bernstein's "China 1945" to carry on the theme. Highly recommended for those who've come across the "Who lost China?" question and want to explore in more depth.
