true, though i dont remember seeing any decor glow pikmin in the update trailer, and there aren't usually wild glow pikmin in pikmin 4, so idk if they'll be getting added unfortunately. would be cool if they added a way to turn pikmin you let go into glow pikmin or something though

i was kind of baffled that camera mode wasn't in the game initially, since the main crew has tablets in both games

decor pikmin do nothing to change gameplay, but a couple of fun camera missions seems nice, and pikmin wearing stuff is cute so based update

like grandpa. if you're worried about diseases. you have to actually have the mask over your mouth and nose. if you're leaving your nose uncovered but still wearing a mask, please just dont wear it, it's basically the same thing

Pikmin 1's calendar is interesting in theory, but in practice it doesn't really force you to make decisions. Restarts (and in ports rewind) and the shortness of days mean a bad situation is never forced on you. The day timer makes you plan things out, but the calendar is more of a vibe than a threat

also their original critique of pikmin 4 was basically "pikmin are invisible now, cringe", when that has never been established in a mainline game, not even pikmin 4. while the more pristine condition of the house IMPLIES humans more recently, an explanation is never given, and they are never shown.

i don't do stuff like this trying to be annoying or make people adopt my opinion, it's just that when i see so many positive aspects to a game and someone won't even consider playing it because of some new short video that came out, it irks me is all.

the setting is largely the same as previous entries, in that you are a tiny alien that is on an alien planet with tiny aliens on it. not trying to get them to like the game, just trying to get them to critically analyze other aspects of games, or at least play the game before critiquing.

tbh this attitude mostly arose in me once i started modding lethal company. even just modding an already-made game takes so much work, and that's with me barely programming at all so far, with all the work of all the others in the community propping me up.
