Once more with Mark Carney, we have to don a willing suspension of disbelief to convince ourselves he's pursuing a policy in our best national interests.
Once again, folks: any deal between Alberta and Ottawa that requires a) BC's approval, and b) significant support from coastal First Nations is a deal for a pipeline that will never happen.

Thatcher's government did this with Section 28, banned the "promotion of homosexuality" as a danger to children, while actively protecting Jimmy Savile and who knows how many other pedophiles. It's the same damn playbook.
I cannot begin to properly articulate how upsetting it is to have had people baselessly accuse trans people of being groomers and pedophiles only for it to come out that they were deliberately doing this as part of a project to provide cover to actual groomers and pedophiles in positions of power

I've gotta find some not-invasive way to get my phone to adjust the ring volume based on whether I'm inside or outside. As it is I seem to get to choose between missing calls when I'm outside or being given a heart attack by my phone when I'm inside.
