Few things frustrate me more than the @wsj.com editorial page--which does more to enable Trump's excesses than any other mainstream media platform in America. So it's good to see them demanding accountability for Hegseth's actions in the Caribbean.

Police officers-for better and for worse-have the training and the authority to use lethal force to defend themselves and neutralize a threat. National guard soldiers don't. In an urban environment, with lots of uncertainty, they are sitting ducks.
If you want to blame someone for the tragic death of a national guard member in DC, focus on the president who assigned her to that pointless, dangerous mission. Trump put her in harm's way under false pretenses. He's still lying about it.
