I think I have to file this #lichen as unknown. Very minute green granula on plant debris on sand. There was even an apothecium with spores. My initial guess was Micarea viridileprosa, however it was C-. In the same site was also Vezdaea leprosa - but I think this had another shade of green. 1/2

Yesterday we went fishing for #AquaticHyphomycetes at the Mittellandkanal, an intensively managed waterway in Hannover. First test for the new collapsible pole.
We got a good sample. The 3m pole was barely enough in this location. The sample is pretty restricted in the species content.

Today its Peltigera. I still don't like to ID them. Everything I touch keys out to be rufescens.

Pseudombrophila hepatica (Batsch) Brumm., my second ascomycete from my recent trip to the "Vorharz". Growing on rotting grass and droppings of (a small mammal?).
Ascomycete identification is a whole new can of worms for me. This was also only possible with help from the pilzforum.eu.

Dorset UK - Didymellopsis collematum , perithecia lichenicolous on Collema tenax v. ceranoides. Asci to 100 x 15 µm, spores hyaline, 1-septate, 22-25(-27) x 5-7 µm.
Abundant on drive where I park my car - a bit of thallus about the size of my thumbnail had possibly 50 perithecia on it! #lichenGBI

This really makes me want to get (back) into arts (never did much painting, mostly drawing). I want to try gouache - realistically I do not have the time to invest in yet another hobby...
Kids were playing around with watercolour yesterday - so I had a go. #lichen and art.

Micarea denigrata #lichen - I think. Conspicuously white tipped pycnidia and small apothecia on worked wood (fencing). The C-reaction is not behaving as I would like it (C-).
