Perhaps the biggest change I'm making from both canons is that Peel Godred is the castle station instead of Ulfstead (it's literally King Godred's castle). The Earl's estate and railway museum is located here, and can be accessed by every gauge railway, including the Arlesdale/MSR and CFR
Suddery is the town square station, seeing as it's the capitol of Sodor and where the mayor lives. The old wharf was rebuilt as the Search & Rescue Center (figures to locate the rescue center at the capitol)
Like the TVS, the loop line exists, allowing main line trains to stop at Elsbridge and enter Tidmouth through the rear. I have an entirely new take on Elsbridge - it's a multi-level station with Thomas' branch running above and the main line below, similar to metro trains IRL
Knapford is mostly as it appears in the books - the junction to Thomas' branch overlooking the old harbour, except with the aesthetic of TVS Elsbridge/Tidmouth Harbour. (most of this map is just RWS track plans with TVS assets)
The old headland track from the TKER was reopened as part of Thomas' branch line to provide an alternate route to control traffic to the big station. It was also briefly used as an express route for the Flying Kipper - until Something In The Air
Tidmouth Harbour is where the Brendam Docks crew from the TVS works, since it's the main line's harbour. It's connection to Thomas, Edward, and Duck's lines as well fixes the inconsistency from the TVS, and is also where the Flying Kipper departs like in the books
So Tidmouth has a track plan similar to the books, except with the visual aesthetic of TVS Knapford. The indoor roundhouse sheds are located within the big yards behind the station
So I've been brainstorming my own AU to be a hybrid RWS map with TVS aesthetics, inspired by TSI's hybrid engine releases. Here's my take on Sodor:
Big thanks to @thegermanofsodor.bsky.social for the assets to the scrapyard route
Thank you for creating the show that defined my childhood. Godspeed Britt 💚

Toby’s Discovery as well…when Thomas’ branch line was built it included an unopened stretch running up into the hills of Ulfstead, serving the castle and the mine at Cas-ny-Hawin. Additionally, this makes Bertram the MSR mine engine
So Thomas has to have vans of fish caught in the River Els coupled to his trains to add to the Flying Kipper at Tidmouth. He travels up the old TKER headland tracks, reopened to reduce traffic on the main line. A heavy storm hits, washing away the tracks and causing Henry’s accident
y’all…I finally figured out how to make Something In The Air work in the Railway Series
The year I've decided SLOTLT takes place in is 1968 - just after the opening of the Little Western and Arlesdale Railway. Additionally, this timeline supports the theory that Duke hasn't been found yet
3) The Little Western being a new line is only supported by SLOTLT - not only was the old branch restored, but it was extended to Harwick. The "new branch line" is Duck's, leaving Knapford without a pilot - enter Phillip in S19.
Additional detail: Duck and the Slip Coaches takes place before Oliver's arrival, seeing as he's seen with them in Mike's Whistle. With no appearance of Ryan, Daisy, or Oliver in the small engines' episodes, an argument can be made that they took place earlier
4) And perhaps the most damning evidence of this theory is the literal adaptations of Small Railway Engines we got in S20. I think it's safe to say they take place before SLOTLT though, cause their railway seems well established by then.

2) We don't see Oliver until S18 either, and in his CGI debut he talks about his escape - as if it's a recent event. Additionally, Duck gains the Slip Coaches in S18, making them his TV equivalent of the autocoaches.
1) In S17, Duck is seen doing odd jobs such as collecting coal for the big engines and taking Harold to the SSRC. The Little Western doesn't actually appear until S18, meaning that he could have still been the Knapford pilot at that point
