Figured since I have a back ref for him too it's time to formally introduce my bird sona Fistuk! He's a House Sparrow aka Mediterranean Sparrow aka just a little guy.

Anthro sparrow with all colors involved in coloring him on the left. The name is Fistuk and he's a house sparrow. He has light blue hair, brown winged forearms and a gold piercing on both.

The same sparrow but facing away from the screen showing his lovely butt (he doesn't really have a butt. There's a lovely pistachio tree behind him because pistachios grow on trees. Did you know that? I didn't know that and I named my sona after them; in Hebrew, anyways. The colors used are now to the right of him under his right wing, laid out in a 3 by 3 grid. Each is represented by a pistachio shell and leaf with a different-colored nut inside, each corresponding to a different color.

I am made of milk,
in the bag they made for me.
You watch me slosh, and bubble, and curdle.
They say they've pasteurized me but I can see the looks I get.
Disbelief, discomfort, disinterest.
I'm sorry for what I am. I did not choose to be this way.
If a cut would let me leak until I was only what I should be, maybe I would be more. Sufficient.
If time froze and new colors never stained me, spices and age bereave what I was known for, could I hold my place in life?
Everyone else is meat.
I don't think I belong.
But my heart still bleeds, if a different color, to be seen and recognized. To be sought and kept and loved and wanted.
Aberration, abomination, ascertation of what not to do.
And still worthy of love. Of kindness. Of a space invited rather than taken. Of a time where getting by was the bare minimum.
And yet if I shed this bag of mine, will I vanish into the drains made all too perfect to catch me?
I am made of milk,
and I hope that you don't mind.
