I believe in democracy and living with the consequences of ignoring politics. In this situation, however, i am willing to suspend disbelief and enjoy seeing the UCP beaten with their own stick. Even better to see their funding response mean that this will drag out to the next provincial election.
Ostriches are rarely pets either. Too big. Too mean. Too dangerous. And apparently a reservoir for the bird flu virus.
It’s pretty clear to me that the McDavid-Draisaitl together all the time experiment is a failure, and the coach needs to walk away from it,
Make those people watch Old Yeller.
We have always needed and still need a better name than “Brutalism” for this style of building. I know that “Beton brut” worked in French, but we needed to do more than just use the English word that looked most like it.
Don’t you just love the way they keep asking you questions until they can jam your answer into a Group 1 category? All heroes don’t wear capes.
Frankly, it breaks my Edmonton brain whenever I go there.
Well, you’re handling it well.
You are on fire this afternoon.
I haven’t enjoyed the Mighty Mouse theme this much since I was 10 years old. And that’s been a while.
As a resident of Edmonton Glenora, I wont be starting or signing any recall petition against MLA Sarah Hoffman.
It seems like a very elegant form of NIMBYism. Since it will be cumbersome and costly, I don’t think it will have an overwhelming impact, but if asked I wouldn’t participate.
PFFFT! It may be winnable, but I doubt that it’s a priority for LPC.
Sooner will be fine with me, although I’ve liked seeing the CPC tying themselves to Polievre‘a coattails.
So PP fuck ups yesterday, today and every following day; then DF pounces at the January review?
Which, it suddenly occurs to me, mans that Polievre is his fourth leader.
I have tested this statement many times in recent years, and i now believe it is irrefutable.
He was re-elected in the last election, but he’s been the MP in Edmonton Riverbend since 2015.
People seem to be missing the point that you are criticizing people who base their reaction on how their party is affected not politicians who cross the floor.
That is very solid advice.
Absolutely not! Those states would swamp our population and aggravate all of the problems we have with provincial governments that have no loyalty to this country. Plus, their residents would immediately begin asking why we aren’t more like the US and using their numbers to push us in that direction
I essentially agree with you. For me, it’s a bit complicated just after an election because the new MP or MLA has just gotten elected with money raised and volunteers working for the abandoned party. Still, you’re right about their duty to decide how they can best represent their riding.
Well I’m thrilled. This morning, I mentioned the Katie Wilson campaign for mayor of Seattle in the context of how great a Mamdani win would be in New York. I got a like from Wilson’s campaign, even though both the person I replied to and I are here in far off Edmonton, Canada. Nice!
You may not have noticed, but I think you also want Katie Wilson in Seattle.
