It's so jarring being in both gamedev and webdev. The main motivating factors for the majority of the devs are so different. Webdevs always talks mmr, user count, monetization, etc. Most gamedevs are just happy that they can fund their next game
Casually using clips of other people's games. The vibes are way off
keeping up? that's a myth
We've never been more connected yet empathy seems to be at an all time low

I'm late to this one because I specifically wanted to avoid the ~internet drama~ surrounding it, but I asked 20 game devs what they thought about Stop Killing Games. Some of these answers were genuinely fascinating - huge thanks to all the devs who helped out!

Hey game industry can we move off windows pls. Kthxbye
Like i can see a lot of paths where it becomes good, but the expectations people have right now are so different and out of whack
It's still unclear to me what stop killing games actually demands. Maybe by design? Be vague, let petition signers decide what it means for them, then figure it out later on the review?

Congratulations to Jeremy Crawford and Chris Perkins joining Darrington Press! Their creativity helped shape D&D as we know it today and the team they nurtured continues to shape its future.

We look forward to playing their next adventure.
Didn't know how politically out of touch most dev twitter are until today

I think the concept of internalization is still underdiscussed
We all can learn from that
