#botaday Perceptor. A far cry from a humble microscope. Rendered in colors meant to evoke his classic 1985 edition, it's a redeco of Legends of Cybertron Red Alert. He turns into a BTR-90 armored personnel carrier with a huge honker of a cannon. Perceptor was available at retail in 2006.

I ran an Alpha Scolipede in my team for the entire second half of the game. He and a Pangoro with Brick Break, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch and Shadow Claw were originally in those empty slots, so he’s on my short list. I don’t know if I have an Aegislash yet.

Haven’t played Ruins yet but I’ll look into it. I have all of their Kabuto Sumo stuff, Psychic Pizza Deliverers Go To The Ghost Town, Chomp, Lure, and Mountain Goats. Will likely grab more over time.

Chesnaught is on there as I like having a Fire/Water/Grass set in my team. Usually I end up getting all three of a game’s starter choices to fill those slots (and I do have Emboar and Meganium), but I liked the idea of having a starter from three different regions here.

Also, no one had any idea for rounding out my team. Is there anyone I should consider? Who are some of your favorite denizens of Lumiose? I’ve swapped a bunch of these around. Zygarde defintiely staying, Feraligator has been with me from the start, as has Charizard for the most part.

Allplay has some small box, one-minute-to-teach games that are a lot of fun. Lure and Mountain Goats are two that we get out onto the table regularly. I have the Kickstarter release of the new TMNT Unmatched set I’m eagerly anticipating as well. Which also allows solo play which is a nice bonus.

And that’s totally fine. Just not for me. I like a replayable game with enough variety to stay interesting without needing a constant influx of new releases. Marvel United is one of my current favorites. As is Horrified in its various forms.

Some of it is absolutely me. It is hard for something to really hold my attention long term, especially since there are so many other neat things coming out all the time. I’m not putting the entire onus of this on the industry. Some people can afford and enjoy that chase/thrill/repeat loop
