OpenAI is being sued for 200 x more on a per-author basis. These are just stolen copies from some online pirating site, but they also bypass robots.txt and other convention to keep crawlers out that try to index the internet (also all private sites). They're stealing massive amounts of IP.

There are all sorts of productivity paradoxes with generative AI... Users often end up with 20% less. For coders it helps blurt out a mock up, but it's such wonky code that it requires a rewrite and redesign, so it actually requires some seniority to correct everything. Superficiality doesn't scale.

EU/ECB is a bit slow with EU bonds and CBDC (digital euro). Very annoying imnsho but on the other hand, it's wise to not import the bulk of supersaturated hot money that is blowing up the US financial system.

Ah, sorry, i misread Tom's "luddite rant" and didn't catch that it's an automated dispenser... as most, if not all, such automation attempts here in Eurp have focused on hot air blowers. Regulated dispensing might make statistical sense but probably aggravates enough people to break the device open.

Yeah, the spend a billion on some doomed high-profile moonshot, but the return is that their stock value increases instead of shrinking because of serving to a saturated market segment and lackluster attempts to pull the same Uberification scheme in other largely unregulated industry segments

Yea, there's a report on how Erdogan forced Netanyahu to exit Trump's plane when he joined up to go to Egypt. Behind the scenes i guess this is entirely the Arab liga that is working out the details, and that also forced this deal on Israel and the US

It became popular when paper recycling was the craze... Here in Holland zero-waste by 2050 is the goal. Paper and cardboard recycling is at ± 80% and 89% of paper and cardboard packaging was circular in 2024.
