I don't find the whole "is it genocide?" question useful anyway. Although some want to make it a hard red line, as far as I'm concerned, getting close enough for it to enter the conversation is a very bad thing.

I prefer "attempting to alter the outcome of a presidential election" over "attacking the U.S. Capitol". The former is our democracy and the latter is just a building.

You know what would really help? Spell out anti-fascist. Antifa, the non-existent organization, should put out a press release announcing its renaming to Fascists Out Of America (ok, we can discuss the name). The Antifa name makes it too easy for its opponents to ignore what it stands for.

Seems like a good way for a country or a politician to get what they want out of Trump. I still hope that he doesn't get a Nobel prize. It would devalue both past and future prizes. It would turn the Obama prize into just a tiny mistake.

I hear that it is not required that the speaker of the house be the one doing the swearing. It is just traditionn -- a norm. If so, it is well nigh time to break with tradition.

Of course that's what it is all about. And, most importantly, we can't wait until it happens to object to it. By then it will be too late. We have to accuse him of it now in order to have any chance of preventing it. Trump is way, way beyond receiving any benefit of the doubt.
