Ecstatic to announce that my short story, "The Cutest Thing in the World," will join the renowned @metastellar.bsky.social's collection of speculative fiction

Recently finished @johnlangan.bsky.social's debut anthology, "Mr. Gaunt," and it was clear from the first story why Langan has become such a heavyweight in the genre. The collection is an unbroken chain of supernatural thrills with no weak links, whose end I was sorry to find arrived too soon

Had fun disentangling the twisty circles author Freddy Durbin wove together in his short story, "Intrusions" in @justkeepupmagazine.bsky.social

Thoroughly enjoyed @nadiabulkin.bsky.social's "She Said Destroy" - efficient, merciless, and savagely alive, Bulkin's anthology dishes out short spec horror whose shadows will linger. Looking forward to picking up "Issues with Authority"

Update on Gene Wolfe's "Seven American Nights": Spent most of yesterday going down a literary rabbit hole and the further I went, the more the pieces fit, like an Escherian tapestry. To any who might read it, I highly recommend referencing this timeline when you're done.

Gene Wolfe's "Seven American Nights" is one of the most mind-bending plots I've ever encountered. Every detail seems steeped in enigma and double meanings, and I'm still peeling back the layers and unwinding the twists. What a great novella!

Had the pleasure of picking up @lairdbarron.bsky.social's Imago Sequence on my honeymoon, and the stories therein made our romantic excursion that much more exquisite. Barron has perfected the sauce of contemporary cosmic horror!

Picked up a random anthology at the used book store and was inadvertently introduced to the twisted imagination of Bentley Little. This guy is a real sicko and I'm loving it!

Recently finished "Hex" by @thomasoldeheuvelt.bsky.social. Now that's what I call spec horror!Plenty of authors hit on interesting angles but so few actually see them through to their full potential while also sticking the landing.

And what a landing it is!

Nobody wanted my single-sentence fiction, so I'm posting some for free. This one's titled "The Return"

Release came in a dazzling pointillism of serenity that blotted out the pain and slipped imperceptibly into eternity.
