Cormorants have been catching trout like crazy lately on the South Platte River here. Their hooked beaks ensure they don't miss! Got this shot two days ago.

Thank you! I had wondered the same but a local who "knows" this pair said this is a mated pair and not a parent/baby but your pair bond behavior is likely as their nesting season is currently in place.
