I saw someone on Substack posting two AI-made images they conjured up and being impressed how the more recent one was a lot more realistic. Do these people realize how they're enabling a future where truth will be almost impossible to discern? Have they thought about the implications at all?

I have a very rough plot outline for Vampire Zillah story #3 (The Party Splits Up), now to figure out how to actually get the ball rolling and also what mayhem to spring on Group 2 as they consult with an occult expert. (Group 1 explores mysterious tunnels and I’m sure nothing will go wrong there.)

Archaeology types - how precisely could scientists of the late 19th century date an artifact? i.e. would the British Museum be able to say a certain copper harpoon was from c. 5000 BC? Or would it be more like “6th or 5th millennium BC”?

I've been re-watching Predator and it really is almost a perfect action movie. Two small tweaks (removing the shot of the alien ship before the credits and getting rid of Billy's Magical Native American thing) would elevate it a little, but otherwise, there's almost nothing to be improved.

The Regiment is headquartered at Tunbridge Wells, Kent. One battalion is stationed there (as of 12 October 2025), while the other is deployed to the Egyptian Canal Zone as part of Operation Hinett.

Following the dissolution of English Barbary under the 1978 Treaty of Algiers, the Brigade was renamed the Royal English Sepay Regiment. It is permitted to recruit Wahrani citizens under the terms of the Treaty of Algiers, as revised by the Anglo-Wahrani Amity Pact of 2004.

The Royal English Sepay Regiment is one of three Overseas Regiments of the English Army. It was established as the 2nd (Infantry) Brigade of the North African Division in 1905 and recruited from English colonial subjects in the Viceroyalty of Barbary.
