Generational patterns survive because no one challenges them.

We carry habits, beliefs, and fears passed down long before we were born. Some serve us. Some hold us back.

These cycles won’t stop on their own. They only end when someone refuses to keep repeating them.
can fully capture.

Exposure builds empathy. Difference builds perspective. And with every trip, we hope they’re growing into young men who not only see the world, but also feel a responsibility to it.

Where’s a place that changed your perspective? I’d love to hear about it.
For Jill and me, travel has never just been about seeing the sights.

To us, it’s more about shaping character.

When our boys walk through a market in Jamaica, explore history in Europe, or hear stories from people whose lives look very different from theirs, they’re learning lessons no book👇🏾
who you’re meant to be.

No deadline.

No finish line.

Just consistent effort, and the willingness to try again when you need to.

Take five minutes today to check in with yourself. What needs a reset?
We don’t talk enough about how messy growth really is.

Some days you’ll feel unstoppable. Other days, you’ll feel like you’re starting over from scratch. Both are part of the process.

What matters isn’t having a perfect plan, it’s having the courage to keep coming back to the work of becoming👇🏾
Plain and simple.

Once you see it for what it is, you stop waiting. You stop replaying what happened over and over again.

And you move on.
Sometimes, it’s hidden in what they didn’t do.

When someone shows you a lack of care, when they choose silence over honesty, when they refuse accountability… it might feel like unfinished business.

But that’s your answer.👇🏾
I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard someone say, “I just need closure.”

Usually, what they really mean is: “I want them to admit what they did. I want them to make it right.”

I’ve got to level with you, closure isn’t always something another person can give you.👇🏾
today, she’s thriving.

That message was a reminder I’ll never forget: the smallest gestures often have the biggest ripple effects.

So ask yourself, seriously, how are you treating people when nobody’s watching you? Because that’s where integrity lives. And that’s where lasting impact begins.
That wasn’t part of any agenda. It wasn’t glamorous. But she left our interaction believing it mattered that her voice was heard.

Fast forward a year or two, and she sent me an email. In it, she told me that our short exchange gave her the confidence to pursue her career full tilt, and👇🏾
and bumped into a junior colleague I barely knew.

I was in a hurry to shake a few important hands, but she reached out with a nervous smile, eager for just a moment of my time. I stopped. I listened. I asked her a question she hadn’t expected:

“What’s your biggest hope as you start this work?”👇🏾
picking up a piece of rubbish on your walk to work and throwing it away.

These are the times your character truly shows up. That’s integrity. That’s everything.

I remember early in my matchmaking days I was still finding my stride, building the business w/ Jill. We walked into a networking event👇🏾
Let me tell you something important: no résumé, title, or public accolade ever tells the whole story of who you are.

Your real character is shown in the mundane moments: how you treat the person who makes your coffee, putting your shopping cart back at the collection point,👇🏾
Because one day, what you’ve planted will rise, and you’ll be grateful you didn’t quit before the roots were strong enough to support it.
but every quiet season is shaping you. Every unseen effort is building strength.

So if you’re in that in-between moment, don’t rush to pull the seed out of the ground just to check if it’s growing. Keep watering. Keep showing up. Trust that things are taking root even if nothing is visible yet.👇🏾
immediate results.

But that doesn’t mean they’re wasted.

When your actions are aligned w/ your values, you can trust they’re leading somewhere meaningful. You’re laying a foundation that’ll be strong enough to support what you’re building.

It takes patience to believe in what you can’t yet see,👇🏾
silence doesn’t mean stillness. Growth often starts underground w/ roots forming long before branches break through.

The seeds you’re planting right now may be the discipline you’re practicing, the consistency you’re putting in, the small acts of faith every day. & they’re not always going to show👇🏾
Some of the most important seasons in my life looked like nothing was happening.

I was showing up every day, doing the work, but on the surface…

Silence.

No applause.

No progress I could point to.

Just me, wondering if it was all even worth it.

But here’s what I’ve learned:👇🏾
To us, travel is the antidote to prejudice and narrow-mindedness.

There's an unparalleled joy in discovering places we've never been, and it's this joy that fuels our lives.
Traveling is more than just a pastime for me and Jill; it's a way of life. We work hard and save diligently, all to explore new corners of the world.

It opens our hearts and minds, something we deeply wish for our children as well. To see and embrace the world's diverse beauty.👇🏾
Keep your heart open. Keep choosing belief.

And know, that when your moment comes it will reveal the you that has been growing. The you that has been there the whole time, becoming everything you were always meant to be.
Not at all. Hope is believing there’s more ahead, even when the road ahead is uncertain. It’s the decision to keep walking, to keep persevering, because something inside you knows you were made for more.

So I want you to keep showing up for yourself this week.👇🏾
What once felt like a setback may turn out to be the very thing that shaped you.

Life rarely moves in straight lines. It moves quietly, serpentine, in ways that are working for you even if the purpose is still unclear to you.

Hope isn’t pretending things are perfect.👇🏾
This is something that life has taught me time and time again.

As you head into this week, carry these words with you. No matter how long you’ve been waiting, healing, building, or believing..

Keep going.

Some of the most meaningful parts of your journey won’t make sense until much later.👇🏾
All the talent in the world won’t mean a thing if you don’t step forward. The people who change their lives, and sometimes even the world, aren’t always the most skilled. They’re the ones who dare.

So ask yourself: what’s one place in your life where fear has been holding the wheel?
