This was a close vote.

I will continue to make the case to my colleagues in Congress that we must block the President from starting a war that the American people do not want and that would needlessly put our troops in harms way.
President Trump has taken us to war with Venezuela, but why? Regime change, power, graft, oil, land.

On the House floor, I urged my colleagues to vote for my War Powers Resolution with @repmcgovern.bsky.social and Rep. Thomas Massie to block the President’s illegal war and protect American troops.

Let's make this very clear and simple: The Constitution bars anyone from being elected to the White House more than twice.

No wishful thinking or book by the president's former defense counsel changes that.

1. A blockade is an act of war

2. The idea that Venezuela has stolen land from the United States is so laughably stupid on its face that even some of his base is like 🤨

3. It’s always about oil.

A sociopathic narcissist exploits tragedy/suffering of others to satisfy his dysfunctionally competitive, vindictive need to "win"....and to Self Aggrandize.

In this one statement, Trump exhibits 7 of 9 symptoms of Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and 6 of 7 for Anti-Social PD (sociopathy).

The timing of this post and the reference to the murders being "due to the anger ... caused others through … TDS" suggests strongly that Trump believed that **one or more of his supporters** had committed the murders—and that they had committed the atrocity **justifiably**.

"ICE and CBP must be abolished" is the only reasonable position. We can debate the specifics of new agencies for immigration functions, but these agencies are simply too infected with a culture of impunity, racism, and fascism to continue. They're gangs with badges.
Armed ICE agents trapped US citizens in a restaurant and demanded their papers. Federal agents walked into East African restaurants in Cedar-Riverside, MN. They closed and blocked the doors. Then they demanded to see everyone’s papers. Every person present was a US citizen.

Birth certificates are state documents. Full faith & credit clause suggests that at min. the federal govt needs an Act of Congress to challenge those docs (if they can at all). States should challenge a fed policy that sets their official docs aside.
