This Q, in the Bluesky spirit, is not meant to be contentious. In a convo w/a friend as we lamented the Pres election outcome, he maintained that DT & KH are equally morally unacceptable. I never got a coherent reason from him. Can anyone explain how DT & KH are EQUALLY morally unacceptable?

For those wanting to know more about lectio divina, here's a video we posted a year ago on our church website, as we are encouraging our folks to do lectio on the "to be preached" text the week prior. Hope some find it helpful:

My approach for daily liturgy:

- brief address prayer to the Father

- borrowed prayer, usually from Valley of Vision

- Read chapter of scripture, choose a few verses for Lectio Divina.

- 15 mins of non-scripture reading, currently Begin Again by Eddie Glaude

- Closing prayer

Takes abt 60 mins

My daily liturgy from this week through the end of 2025, Lord willing, will be in the ways and words of Jesus, going thru the gospels. One chapter per day, w/a selected text from the chapter for Lectio Divina. Longing to spend the year in conversation w/Jesus. The next post outlines the approach.
