Most peculiar 🤔

@stokeybookshop.bsky.social seemed distinctly disgusted to make a transaction with me when I went to buy the latest book from bestselling author JK Rowling (AKA Robert Galbraith)

Its in stock- much to the apparent shame of the man who served me - but not on display anywhere...

We hope Government will also listen to the Women from across the country who have contribed to our response to the DWP consultation.

We will be sending this in the next week and are happy to discuss further 📨

So the Tories are voting against (deliberately setting conditions that can't be met).

The Bill is on track to be defeated without concessions.

#FiLiA held focus groups in #Manchester, #Swansea #Glasgow and online and we will submit our consultation response next week. It is clear from what Women told us, these reforms could lead to significant harm.

Yesterday, I co-signed an amendment with over 100 of my Labour Party colleagues to stop the welfare reform proposals from becoming law.

This is a decision I have not taken lightly, but I believe it is the right one.

We will respond fully to the consultation & would welcome the chance to discuss with ministers. Gov't must also carry out comprehensive impact assessments, including doing more to reach marginalised women who are most affected & least often heard.

We hope Government acts on the call to pause reforms & takes the time to hear from those at the sharp end. #FiLiA has listened to women from around Britain with disabilities or caring responsibilities - it is clear that the reforms could lead to significant harm.

Welcoming 'innovators' and particularly 'disrupters' would be quite the adjustment for Whitehall.

My experience anyway 🤷‍♀️

Why can’t women just be kind and tolerant? Why are they so against biological men in their bogs?
