Journalist challenge: Use “Machine Learning” when you mean machine learning and “LLM” when you mean LLM. Ditch “AI” as a catch-all term, it’s not useful for readers and it helps companies trying to confuse the public by obscuring the roles played by different technologies. 🧪

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.

We were reached out to by Ash and several people on the team answered questions about our feelings regarding the supposed ubiquity of gen AI in the industry - only one of my comments was covered here but I feel that and other people’s comments got the point across

Credits are basically a free space. Players will watch them or not. Those who do will come to understand how each person participated. We also credit everyone who ever touched the game in any way. This means for a relatively small team our credits are long. But who cares? Why be stingy with it?

We did something different with the credits for Demonschool. We used this format: name, title, lengthy description of what they did. Often you see credits in games where you don't know what the credited developer was actually responsible for. We wanted to give people proper, actual credit.

My stance towards generative AI has been the same for the past 3 years: why the fuck would I ever want to read or view something made by someone who didn't want to take the time to make it?

Why is my time less valuable than theirs? Get outta here
