Heading to bed after a total day in my pjs. Went to the Medicare, got my card number mailed it to my husband. I have A and B. My initials. Total sheet of ice out there. I may need drugs and gap. Didn't get that yet! Old people problems. He rolls his eyes. He will take care of me.

Carrot cake in Roman numerals. Couldn't cut it until my grandsons figured out the number. Fun dinner and a great birthday.

My cat has been playing with one of my hair ties for an hour and it sounds like a herd of elephants in my house. What is happening?

Here is an interesting story. It's my daughter's substack, historical fiction hits home with our family history.

It's been snowing literally for 3 weeks. Cats in mostly. Nearly 2 ft of snow since the second week of November. We put cat TV on. The black cat may take down my TV. Need to move our printer.

Winter has always been a tough sell for me in PA. As I got older (65 on Thursday) I wallowed in cold, snow for years. I can't keep doing that this year. I started a food insufficiency program with set work days. Always go out for live music and tacos nearby on Tuesdays. Scheduled activities matter.

I love small rural libraries like mine.

Renovations done in our kitchen. We have adopted having 2 of everything just for us. Plates, glasses, silverware, coffee mugs, a pot or pan. Do dishes every night. Lots in cupboards behind the scenes, but we live out of our dish drainer. It's amazing, freeing. Do it.

Library work for 2 days now. Snow commutes, it's only 7 miles. I have a Subaru. I'm good. Such a library women who has cats. I'm good. Boomer fight...don't think we got old and gave up. Carry on.

Took 2 days off and did only reading, watching TV and a tiny bit of housework. It was exactly what I needed in my crazy busy days lately. We got 10" of snow, so watching from my window was fine.

Didn't do a thing except read Mary Shelly's Frankenstein for a couple of hours. Snowing like a boss outside. Did household stuff. Coffee, soda and eventually a bit of the other stuff. Kids are safe in weather now. Always check in. Going to bed with my cat and now one more. Finally.

Big gathering at my daughter's house. Didn't bother with plates of food pics. We have constantly falling snow though.

It's snowing and 10-12 inches expected. The wind gusts at 50? Really. Yes. Thank you Lake Erie in PA being part of a Thanksgiving bingo card. Ugh. The snow and wind gusts are here. Heats on, all good.😭

Be thankful. I am thankful for you that reach out. Happy Thanksgiving.

Busy day with our Stone Soup Project. Bought so much food to help support our cause. Trying to stock up because lake effect snow in late November/December apparently is going to be a thing. With donations, we may be good for 6 weeks. I love our people. It's snowing now. Happy Thanksgiving kids.

Our Stone Soup Project got a very generous donation on Monday. My husband and I went shopping at Aldi and Walmart today. We are able to fund meals through the third week of January. There are many definitions of heavy lifting. We are blessed.

My work week is done. Going to buy things for our food program. The morning before the lake effect slams us later tomorrow. Going to visit our favorite bartender on the way home, tuck our shopping in and Thanksgiving visit a mile away. Then reading, snow outside, who cares for 2 days. Cat too.
