Return to Physical Media - Part 15

Classic Blu-rays here, mostly films I've seen many, many times and that are, unfortunately for most of them, not yet available in 4K. Including an absolute masterpiece of a trio with my favorite Miyazaki's; from which I'm just missing Totoro at this point.
Return to Physical Media - Part 14

A trio of cheap box sets, two nice trilogies, and a lot of classics right here! I've never seen "Ring(u)" nor "Seven Samurai" but I'm sure it will be a nice discovery for both.
Return to Physical Media - Part 13

"Steelbook paradise" vibe here.
I really wasn't sure I would find the Star Wars series that late in the game, but I'm glad I did, even if it's without French subtitles. Now I hope Andor Season 2 will be released in 2026.
Return to Physical Media - Part 12

Great visual shows & great movies.
(Not Aquaman 2, but a free 4K steelbook: fine with me.)

I'm having more & more difficulties to find the remaining movies on my list for those that are available in 4K BD.
It's either way too expensive or out of stock in France.
Return to Physical Media - Part 11

Some more Marvels/DCs, but that's not the point.
More than a 1.5 month after ordering it, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is finally here!

I can't wait for a proper remaster though, with full rescans of the films, but I'll make do with upscaling & DNR until then.
Return to Physical Media - Part 10

A fairly varied combo, including the bulk of the Marvels follow-up, including the X-Men, but only on Blu-ray HD because the 10 films box set at €25 compared to a minimum of €30 per movie in 4K, that's enough for me to make some compromises. 🤑
Return to Physical Media - Part 9

I initially planned not to buy any of the Marvels that are available on Disney+, but with ALL of their 4K Blu-rays on sale and them doing their best to make me not subscribe ever again, I just went for it.

I went for second hand too from this point.
Return to Physical Media - Part 8

Disaster movies, SF, Fantasy, War, Drama, many great films again. I really wish Terrence Malick's "The Thin Red Line" with Hans Zimmer soundtrack was available in 4K too.
Return to Physical Media - Part 7

Cloak and dagger, childhood memories, anime or should I say poetry even with Miyazaki's movies, and Snyders univers DC.

Plus a trio of intruders and I'll give you a hint: I was practically given their steelbooks for free, and I like their designs so why not. 😅
Return to Physical Media - Part 6

I'm still waiting for the Lord of the Rings trilogy & another grouped order plus some pre-orders including Tron 1 & 2, Jurrassic Park/World trilogies, Rambo trilogy, 7 Samourai and others, but I'm reaching the end of the easy available 4K Blu-Rays part of my list.
Return to Physical Media - Part 5

Aka the masterclass collection with most of those ones.
3 for the price of 2 offers ruled here, both in store and on Amazon.
I also continued my list of favorites movies and/or movies worth buying in 4K for their spectacle as the titles came back to my memory.

Now reaching 215 films and 5 series, going as far as 1961 for the oldest one: Mysterious Island.
Return to Physical Media - Part 4

Nolan and Dune movies, with those the core of my "4K movie collection" is almost complete, with the WWII series being only in Blu-Ray ofc.

Tron & Tron Legacy in 4K are expected next month 😍 with Kill Bill 1 & 2 4K Steelbooks too, what a timing once again!
Return to Physical Media - Part 3
I couldn't find cheaper that Amazon at this point, so be it.
Same section of the same shop that I raided a few days before,
with all 4K Blu-Rays in promotion and this time they renewed their selection, just what I needed, this return to Physical Media is going pretty well.

Just Rogue One missing this time, but I'm already planning to go back in a few days. 🤞
I've made the mistake to list my most favorite movies that are also worth buying in 4K from a visual standpoint (The Truman Show is one of my fav, but 1080p streaming/dig. copy with 5.1 audio is already enough to fully enjoy it imho for example).

And that list... already goes beyond 100 films... 🤑
I found a section with a nice selection of 4K Blu-rays on sale & I absolutely raided them!

The perfect opportunity for a return to physical media!
And finally, Godzilla Minus One, quit expensive, but couldn't find it anywhere (even on streaming).

Spider-Man 3, Dune 1 & 2, + Nolan's films are next.
I think Netflix's new, horrible, slow-as-hell TV user interface gave me the final push I needed to get back to physical media.

Movies and TV shows are now scattered across so many platforms, with increasingly exorbitant prices.

So fuck them all!
The Blu-ray collection begins.
Quel torchon !
Vraiment, c'est si sale que ça ne servirait même pas de PQ.
Vous faites honte à l'Humanité, collabos de merde !
The USA under Trump's regime are no longer part of the Western world nor the Western democratic values.

Trump is fully siding with the axis of evil, he is fully embrassing war criminal Putin, and he is proving to be an enemy to both Ukraine and the European Union.

J-3 avant que C8 ne quitte la TNT si je ne me trompe, c'est un peu le baroud de déshonneur du crétin du paf.
Is it me, or is Trump looking smaller and smaller,
like a weak, orange, obese old fart?
3 years already.
Death to the russian invaders!
Victory for Ukraine & Slava Ukraini!
Can't you wait to have something more than a single German article to say this type of shit? Even if true, seriously, go fuck yourself with you French bashing.
Wait, what?
Fuck, seriously, this bastard just came out of his TikTok live 2 days ago to tell us, the French, that we need to go further and help Ukraine, and now there's this?

Fuck him if it's true.
But it's a German source and we know them well on that front... we can never trust them 100%.
