[1/2] What a week. I was so happy that I finally got to work on a AAA racing game. As a huge motorsports fan it really was a dream come through to work at Turn 10.
So many passionate and talented people lost their jobs yesterday in a huge Microsoft layoff round. The teams build just ...gone.
When a foundation isn't at 0 height, there'll be some cliffs/rocks beneath #lego #procedural #houdini

Added flags.
Next up is adding cliffs sides/vertical offsets, fixing the various colors and animating the controls to show the proceduralism.

Though I'm working on a #procedural #LEGO castle system, here are some testrenders of #LEGO #mountains : Mount #Rainier, #Nabro Volcano, Cerro Paine Grande and #Denali

All part of the same toolset eventually

Didn't work for too long, couldn't figure out why but now I do. And of course it was very simple.
Anyway, basics are done, moving forward with supporting more advanced shapes. #lego #houdini

Preview of phase 1 of my #procedural #lego system, it covers basic brick placement and scalability. Phase 2 will be more advanced

Rendered out 300k+ bricks as a test ....technically neat that it's possible but in my opinion it's not as capturing as the <10k (bricks) render

Getting started with generating the build manual. Step 1: which bricks do you need :) #lego #houdini

Loaded up an old walkcycle, fixed some issues, added eyes. +/- 3150 pieces. Next up is to bake out the entire walk cycle and start thinking on how to convert this into a build manual

Working on #procedural #Lego in #houdini. The idea is to be able to convert any mesh to lego with any given brickset. Works with heightfields and I'm just starting to look into supporting 3D shapes.
