The Western Association of Vertebrate Paleontologists Conference was a fantastic experience and I met so many wonderful and kind hearted people in the field! It was an incredibly welcoming environment and I am very much looking forward to presenting my work at next year’s event!
MASSIVE thank you to Matt at @fossilera for this MASSIVE gift!!! Aegirocassis is a relative of Anomalocaris that evolved into a large whale like filter feeder! I am beyond happy to have this incredible fossil in my collection to use for education at my fossil shows and events!
A new paper covering all mosasaurs of the Moroccan Phosphates was published by Bardet et al and it is fantastic! They state that T. atrox, P. currii, M. beaugei and H. boubker are the apex predators of the phosphates! This publication is a great read! www.researchgate.net/publication/...

WAVP Field Trip to Chalk Canyon Formation deposits. We visited Agua Fria National Monument, where oreodont remains have been found. The Early Miocene Chalk Canyon Formation represents one of the earliest mammal-bearing rock units in Arizona, and it is the locus of ongoing research by AZMNH.
