If you go out to eat, (I'm not talking fast food) and eat something you really enjoyed, you can pass your compliments to the chef.
Speaking as a cook, it makes my heart soar to hear that someone really enjoyed their meal to the point they wanted to thank me. I put a lot of effort and love into it.

I remember in Heart Gold/Soul Silver where like, the events you downloaded off of the internet were actually little adventures that had lore and then led to you encountering a legendary Pokémon.
