FL is great, have you tried running FL studio with Wine in linux. And if that doesn't work you can always install windows 2000 or 98 on a docker container and use it that way. This is what i do to get rebirth and some other legacy apps to work, They required a very specific version of DirectX.
I really enjoy using WSL for Linux development directly on my Win11 host. Surprisingly, it's super-efficient, achieving around 98% of bare-metal perf. Plus, you can run Linux GUI applications by including the GTK sources. It's the best of both worlds and excellent for *platform dev and C++ work.
