Agreed. I woke up thinking it was Sunday & overslept. Then 3 hours later I realised it wasn't Wednesday either. It really messes with our brains! x

Jeez, they could reduce it to 10 minutes & it would still feel like 2 hours long. I don't know how is it preferable to ITV at 10am on a weekday when you're ill, but dagnamit, it is.

It does make sense, you're like a snowglobe that's been shaken. It will take time for things to settle and a new you will emerge in time.

If you don't already, a few of Michael Sealey's youtube calming hypnosis videos are very helpful, especially at night when the ol' brain won't quit! 😉

You will get back to feeling ok, but considering the enormity of everything please be kind to yourself in these early stages. It is a type of grief & you're in survivor mode. I'm glad you have support around you. x

12 years here too! When I made the decision (which he forced me into because: coward) I had the line from Whitney's song "I'd rather be alone than unhappy" in my head the entire time. If you don't put your own happiness first, no one else will. xx

Ah, the SAD is kicking in already. The world feels smaller when it gets so dark, so quickly.

1st world problem, I know. Yes, I have SAD lamps. No, it's not cosy to turn all the lights on when you're worried about electric bills. Bleugh. #JustVenting

2 weeks until the awful clock change messes us all up. I'm going to do everything 15 minutes later for the next 7 days, then 30 minutes later the week after. Mainly food related for me & Oz.

I have both Feliway & this spray the vets recommended. I used their one when sitting in the waiting room once with an unhappy Oz and he immediately stopped yowling. So I bought it & use it as an ad hoc helper during stressful times. I hope it helps someone's pet by reading this! 😊

It's why I wait in the car when I park in the disabled spots until everyone walking nearby has vanished. I cannot deal with the physical symptoms a confrontation can cause. You give it whirl next time though, just to see! 💪🏻😁 x

I *have* said something in the past when a stranger was being completely stupid/unreasonable/driving dangerously. It only raised my heart rate to dangerous levels and made my PEM awful. It wasn't worth it for me, so quiet dignity in future.
