Exactly. They retain their basic salary and pension by staying with the NHS, then enhance it with private work. It’s also the NHS that trains doctors to consultant level.

People like Clarkson and Farage don’t understand UK healthcare.
UK private healthcare freeloads off the NHS to cherry pick the easy, profitable stuff. They won’t touch acute care, emergency or chronic.
If it had to pay salaries, pensions, and provide ALL medical services no one would afford it.
