feelin that new Blawan record.
if you're hungry for something for different in the beats/dance sphere, it's really fun and interesting.

hey did you know that if you want to ditch bandcamp you could just use itch.io and theres a couple of interactive tools there that will help you set up a bandcamp-style release player

iirc the first one was BLAMSCAMP by suricrasia, suricrasia.online/blamscamp/

+a newer one too cant recall name tho
blamscamp version of my release RITUAL AT PIZZOPOLIS! you can see the little html5 player running on the site to let you put releases up on itch.io playable in the browser, bandcamp-style

the release: https://notsleeping.itch.io/ritual-at-pizzopolis

My 3 novels from Solaris. Deadfall Hotel & Ubo are available in ebook & paperback from the usual online retailers (Deadfall Hotel is also in audio). Blood Kin, winner of the Stoker Award, can be purchased as an ebook, although used pbs are available. www.amazon.com/stores/Steve...

Right on. It's not a void of culture but a void of curiousity, that I see anyway.

And look, slop IS a problem. But the idea that culture is moribund only works if you are 1) terminally online and 2) absolutely, parochially unwilling to look outside your own backyard to a degree that frankly makes you look pretty racist

Yes! Especially point 2.
I was shocked by reading Fisher recently - after hearing so much about him - and having that same thought. Felt like I was screaming JUST HAVE A BETTER LOOK!! in my head the whole time, haha.

delightful.

incidentally my absolute favourite Tom Waits album.

"The degree to which Waits was feeling his oats can be measured by the fact that he asked Keith Richards to play on his record, and the living legend agreed—after years of telling guitarists he was looking for a Stonesy feel, Waits had the self-assurance to ask the man himself."
Tom Waits: Rain Dogs
Read Mark Richardson’s review of the album.
