Awesome! That'll open up apartment units and lower rents! He's not even mayor and already delivering in promises!
You laugh, but this is how the exododus went extinct
SNAP accounts for 12% of grocery store sales. Losing 6% sales means one of a few possibilities. 1. They raise prices to account for the losses. 2. They layoff employees to account for losses. 3. They close stores to make up for losses.
We told you when CBP took over the violence would get worse. These are the true brown shirts.

NEW: Footage of a US citizen in Chicago being rammed then dragged from her car on her way to work.

Abducted, with no warrant, her family couldn’t find her for hours.

She was later released with NO CHARGE.

A DHS statement said she “violently resisted arrest, injuring two officers”.

You decide…
Prove it. What's Asimov's Third Law of Robotics?
Weird leap of logic here. And what's with the random capitalization? Are you a bot?

Does the Speaker of the House know what's going on in the country?

It's not clear that he does, as Mike Johnson's communication strategy seems to rely heavily on being unaware.

When faced with questions he should be able to answer, he has a reliable response: "I don't know."
Also a reminder it was an open primary with ELEVEN fucking options to choose from, and New Yorkers chose @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social . What a completely disingenuous, backhanded comment in your parentheses. THIS is why Democratic voters are discouraged with the party.
I'm frustrated that the party does everything in their power to keep young, enthusiastic candidates from being a part of the party. If you don't want my generation as politicians in your party then why should I want to be a part of that same party?
What lawsuit? What standing? What grounds?
You are correct. Completely fine for the US to deploy it against its own citizens but it is illegal to use against military targets.

Imagine having a Mayor who knows how to work with the City Council, the Hennepin County Commissioners, and the Legislature.

Omar Fateh will be a collaborative and compassionate Mayor who builds an affordable city, that's accountable to us.
As a reminder, tear gas is illegal in BOTH the Geneva Protocol AND Geneva Convention against use in war as a chemical agent. Just thought you should be reminded it's too bad for war where napalm is still legal, but tear gas is totes okay to use against your civilian population.
Do it pussy. You're all talk. File the lawsuit or stfu.
I want to add, Amazon which is often given sweetheart deals on tax abatements, free land, public funds, and more to build their distribution centers in states/counties is double dipping by getting all of those things above AND forcing higher UNDER employment in those areas than union warehouse jobs.
A 2020 study found that Amazon—which shares owner Jeff Bezos with The Washington Post—is one of the largest employers of people on SNAP.
As SNAP funds froze, mayors and governors have pledged to supplement the missing federal assistance, while federal judges ruled Friday that the Trump administration should use contingency funds to keep food aid running despite the government shutdown.
Polling shows the Democratic party favorability is in the shitter, so...not looking good for me being wrong.
Well that depends. Are Democrats running on the message, "we will make your life better" or "we will make other people's lives worse". The first is a winning message and the second is what Democrats will run with and lose more than they should.

"Factchecking Trump on '60 Minutes'"

In today's 'First Draft' morning newsletter from Zeteo, I counted and debunked at least *17 obvious, brazen lies* that the president told CBS's Norah O'Donnell, and that she just let slide:
🧾 Factchecking Trump on '60 Minutes'
Mehdi debunks the president's lies, unpacks the failure of our mainstream media, and has the latest from Gaza, as well as Trump's 'Great Gatsby'-esque Halloween party.

Congrats to everyone who put Republicans in charge "for the economy," the first three quarters of 2025 already had more layoffs than any of the years in which Biden or Obama was President except 2009 (when Dems were still cleaning up the prior Republican mess).

You don't say? Populist policies are popular? Politicians are such morons. You have ONE job, make the life of people you are better. If you are doing negative acts like denying someone something or taking something away, then you are not making life better...you're actively doing the opposite.
