The system is paralyzed by an "architecture of failure" and a structural gap we call the "Missing Middle." This void ensures that genuine ecological innovators are isolated while well-intentioned capital is either captured or neutralized.
Organigogo pioneers ecological and regenerative aquaculture: traceable, polyculture systems that sequester carbon, filter water, and rebuild ecosystems while producing premium protein. #Organigogo #Aquaculture #Organic #Regenerative
This isn't about choosing between aquaculture and nothing; it's about choosing between aquatic-restoring farms that combat climate change versus industrial operations that merely transfer pollution from land to sea.

Even operational "islands of excellence" (like regenerative farms) are systematically neutralized. They either collapse, or their efficiency gains are co-opted, leading to the Jevons Paradox where increased efficiency paradoxically magnifies planetary damage This is why the "Missing Middle" persists
The engine of paralysis? Perverse incentives.
The system is propped up by $670B in harmful annual subsidies & enables a hidden ecological and social debt of $12.7T annually. Industrial operators externalize these costs, gaining an unfair advantage over sustainable innovators. #HarmfulSubsidies
The System Is Designed To Fail. 🚫

Our new analysis: The agrifood crisis persists not from lack of solutions, but because the economic architecture actively rewards destruction and neutralizes integrity. We call it systemic paralysis. A Thread 👇

Industrial agriculture and aquaculture drive deforestation, overfishing, and emissions, creating self-reinforcing loops that threaten food security and push ecosystems toward irreversible collapse
bit.ly
This accelerates the Climate & Biodiversity Loops. Deforestation releases carbon. Trawling releases blue carbon. Agricultural runoff degrades phytoplankton, which produce ~50% of global oxygen. The intensification cycle forces us to be increasingly destructive.
Terrestrial Exhaustion is accelerating. The shift to industrial aquaculture isn't a fix—it's a connector. It creates a vicious land-sea feedback loop: Overfishing for fishmeal → need for plant-based feeds → deforestation for soy. We're collapsing the system from both ends.
