A teenage boy was walking home in Minneapolis yesterday when four masked men jumped out of a van & questioned him - with no parent or guardian present.

He was bundled into the van & taken away.

Bystanders heard the boy say: “Can I just go home?”

I don’t know how America comes back from all this.

Part of the AuDHD work experience is realizing you pay like 90% more attention to things than everyone else and having to spend a lot of time catching everyone else up on things they were in the room for but just didn't process.

This is the inciting incident in a dystopian sci-fi novel/film. Only dumber. And more real.
U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced the integration of Elon Musk's xAI platform, Grok, into military networks as part of a new "AI acceleration strategy" during a visit to SpaceX.

If you still call yourself a republican in 2026, I am going to assume you are an unsafe person.
"Do you think the ICE agent should face criminal charges for shooting the woman in Minneapolis?"

I really need the media to get the memo that citizenship is not something ICE cares about any longer. That needs to be the narrative. We have enough proof.
A Minnesota state representative said two Richfield Target employees detained by U.S. Border Patrol on Jan. 8 were U.S. citizens and were both injured in the incident.
Target employees detained by federal officers were U.S. citizens, legislator says
Minnesota Rep. Michael Howard, who represents Richfield, said the employees also were injured in the incident.

The suffering of the underclass is a vital necessity in the comfort and control the upper class has. They need people to be broke and desperate, because they can increase their control over them. Think of how many people you know would change jobs if they could "afford it" etc.
I think the one thing this fails to highlight is that income inequality is less about money than it is power. When Americans are comfortable, they start having opinions and extra time to participate in democracy. The rich don't care about the money they'd lose in socialism, they care about the power
If there's one empirical insight I'd want everyone to understand about American politics, it's this:

America's problems are solved problems. Just not here.

What would change if the US simply matched the average of 31 peer democracies? Not Denmark or Norway. Just the middle of the pack. 🧵

The way Elon treats his kids and their mothers is publicly cruel and abusive. Potentially tearing this young child away from the only parent they’ve known is devastating.

If you're still unironically pointing to how Clinton lost in 2016 and trying to use that argument to propose your preferred solution, you are part of the problem and really aren't going to like how all this shit gets solved in the long-term
January 12, 2026 at 10:08 PM
The reality in America is there's no going back to the 90s when a lot of this shit was still taking place but we could all pretend it wasn't

Centrist-libs who are explaining how we can re-take a few seats and eek out a gen. election will not be part of the solution, and they won't like the outcome.

Poetic that Elon was so adamant about renaming Twitter to something that sounded more like a porn site and now it's biggest claim to fame is that it's a porn site, but in the worst and grossest imaginable way

As of January 15, X (Formally Twitter), will have an irrevocable license to use all and every content in the platform, for A.I training and you can opt out of it.
I recommend all artists to just completely leave that platform.
