Purdue to the rescue of IU student newspaper, whose institution was attempting censorship. Details in alt!
Anyway I talked to nuns, and elderly people in wheelchairs, two professors, some teens, a whole bunch of folks from the SEIU, and other parents, and a fellow redhead with the same protest getup as me.
Ended up at a local protest today rather than the main one, and while I missed the energy of being downtown, it was a lot easier to actually connect with people at a smaller event.

If you believe, deep down, that you’re moments away from Success (and possibly that if you are Believing All The Right Things it will come to you as a matter of theological justice), you are willing to overlook the fact that what you’re voting for isn’t actually all that good for you in the moment.
I kind of think it ties into the American Dream mythology, and the idea that any small business is one opportunity from being the next big business.
My 8-yo does this and it has been pretty great for her overall (but it is hard to be like “my small infant is out in the world”!)
