One of the things about Animon Story's system that I'm most fond of is the 'Critical Gauge' and Critical Moves.

Instead of crits being random bonus damage, the Critical Gauge builds up throughout the fight, then Players activate it to do an awesome team action!

It often ends fights with a bang. 💥

Attacks with a favourable Elemental matchup are more powerful!

Each time the PCs roll a 6 in Combat, the Critical Gauge gains a point. Once a threshold is reached, the Players can unleash a powerful Critical Move as a team!

Critical Combo Attack: The PC animon use their Signature Attacks in unison to bring down an enemy.

Critical Evolution: The PC animon conjure the energy to Evolve immediately to face a crisis.

Critical Success: The PCs may automatically succeed any Test that they agree upon.

Critical Threat: All PCs have their Bond Points fully restored. The GM describes how the current problem gets much worse, or how a new and unforseen threat emerges!

Taomon is a placeholder. I haven't mapped out evolution paths for my last 2 yet: Susanoomon and Slayerdramon
