I will note this isn’t to say there isn’t cooperation between these groups, but it’s properly seen as coalitional alignment on issues of being racist much the same as factions in the Democratic tent will come into alignment at times while being distinct and often opposed

Granting that it’s fictional, the Daniel Radcliffe movie “Imperium” actually sort of alludes to this schism in a way that’s a good entry point for observing this dynamic.

Yeah there are more than a few. Many during the 2nd world war did so because they were American nationalists and Hitler went to war with the US.

It doesn’t make them not white supremacist it just does indicate that these are relevant distinctions for understanding the shift in right wing spaces.

This is also apparent in the subcultures of far right spaces, where Nazis and skinheads famously do not get along with factions like the Klan and Christian nationalist types. That was part of what Richard Spencer’s “Unite the Right” effort was trying to change before it fell apart

White supremacy isn’t really naziism and the Nazis didn’t especially care about whiteness. These are distinct theories of racial hierarchy with distinct methods and backgrounds. It would be like saying Robert E. Lee was a Nazi, or George Wallace. They were white supremacists, not Nazis.

I trust that Democratic politicians will not kill Zohran Mamdani “if a chance comes up” yes. And I trust this because “a chance comes up” literally dozens of times every day. If you were correct he would not be the Democratic mayoral nominee. He would be dead. He is not dead.

There really isn’t a lot of nuance to “they will kill him if a chance comes up” in a city where “a chance comes up” every time he walks by an apartment building. You’re just being delusional. Like, not as a personal insult. That is just what a delusion is. That’s a delusional thing to say.

A musician, Oriana Korol, was peacefully playing clarinet with her protest band outside ICE facilities in Portland, OR.

When the band started playing “Ghostbusters,” ICE thugs suddenly poured outside, slammed her into the mud, arrested her and took her to a jail 9 miles away in Vancouver, WA.

Also idk what you mean “if a chance comes up” but Mamdani lives in a city filled with tall buildings the thing that has stopped him from being assassinated is that no one is willing to do it. If they were it would not be difficult. Political assassinations are not stopped by lack of ability.

I know the temptation is to just scroll past this with a “not surprised” reaction, but you should read this if you have the emotional bandwidth to encounter horrifying slurs and violent sentiments, because there’s an important takeaway: extremism is often performed to reinforce an in-group’s bond.

They are, but only if they're being tried internationally. If they're being tried under the US law that says we follow international law, well then that's a US law. So pardons are available for it.
