one of my younger sisters would’ve been 25 today. she was stillborn at 26 weeks due to heart defects, incompatible with life. she was my moms biggest heartbreak.
i carry her name as my middle name. i think about what she would’ve been like all the time. i like to think she lives through me.

my work is trying to move us from free-range play classes to structured social-emotional learning routines and i’m already stressed that nothings gonna stick. these kids already struggle to listen, idk how clean-up time is supposed to last 10 minutes without a 2nd round of mess being made
