I haven't been open since early 2023 (although yes I took some here and there) and am going to be trying a new process for accepting them and getting payment, and I dunno if everyone will hate it!!

Needless to say I'm nervous but what can I say, I'm always nervous.

Gonna jump on #PortfolioDay day late I guess.

I'm Ollie! I'm an animator/illustrator and cartoonist. I like putting cartoony characters in dramatic lighting and using goo to talk about going through life as a weird (and maybe kinky) little fella. I contain multitudes!

Idk if that was easy to understand without visual reference.
Like at the bottom you can see the blended shading without the rake layer, but higher up where you see the lines, I just erased them out SUPER lightly! The halftones you can sort of see are done the same way.

The brush I use for that sort of effect is the toothbrush stamp brush from Pupscicle's Silly pack, but you can get that with literally any "rake" brush! I just do the shading as normal, then use the rake brush as an eraser on a low opacity and go over the value transition areas VERY VERY gently.

I won't get mad at someone for saying "clanker" but I DO think calling LLMs "clanker" isn't good because in a way, coming up with slurs for gen AI does imply a kind of personhood that I am unwilling to give it.

But I don't think that's a convo folks are ready for.
