Dear Governor Abbott: I am not a political statement. I am a gay resident of the City of Dallas. A Rainbow crosswalk is ALSO not a political statement. It is merely part of the glue which holds a neighborhood together. Please do this state a favor and resign already.
I am spending a lot of time contemplating the best ways to personally protest the best ways to fight back against the encroachment of my Constitutional rights. So far, I’ve only come up with “aggressively posting my opinions on social media” and placing my Pride flag in front of my house.
Yes indeed! For the first time in my 64 years, I am actually wondering if my thoughts, movements, and actions are being monitored by an aggressive Big Brother I neither voted for nor approve of.
In a Monday conversation from the Oval Office, TACO said he would consider banning the Pride flag from Washington DC, and considers it a banner of domestic terrotism. In Dallas, I just went out front and put my Pride Flag up, and will consider leaving it up year round at this point.
