In Dec 2025, the 5 largest EU importers of Russian fossil fuels paid €1.4B. France & Spain increased #LNG imports by 18% & 27%. The EU must enforce #sanctions without compromise and cut off funding for Russia’s war economy.

Today, as #COP30 kicks off, #Ukraine has made a bold move that speaks volumes more than pledges: it has imposed #sanctions on key Russian fossil fuel projects in the #Arctic and their enablers. Time to start cleaning up the mess caused by decades of the Kremlin's imperial plunder in the region.
Getting a ban on Russian LNG imports to the EU was a long struggle. We have a win, but it's not over yet. Strong #REPowerEU Regulation is needed to put final nails into the coffins of Russian oil and gas exports.
Since the full-scale invasion, the EU has paid €215 billion into the Kremlin’s war chest via fossil fuel imports, €106 billion in Russian gas alone.
The new ban on Russian #LNG is a win.
