was impacted by an ongoing undecided campaign. That district was not in NY. Mamdani is not responsible for that. That district would not have changed the outcome of the election. White male voters would have changed the result for Harris just as they changed the result for Biden.

Truth is important. Leave it blank and undecided were both during the primaries and did not affect the general. Accepting truth is not explaining away. Harris was tanked by white male voters, the same way Clinton was. The data on this is all freely available. Only one voting district in one state

This is false. “Leave it blank “ was during the primary and directed at Biden. Mamdani has publicly confirmed this and his vote for Harris.

That really is going to be an individual thing. No easy answer here. It could be calling to put pressure on your Representative to impeach, donate food or money to a local shelter or food bank, just letting your neighbors know that you are there. Small things do matter right now.

And that’s what we need to work with as far as a single unified goal. It needs to be something like impeachment, or emergency elections (although I have no idea how that happens under our constitution). As far as methods, nothing has ever beaten letter writing campaigns. Annoy the system. Emails

It was never really able to get a clear goal that everyone was behind, every small group had their own idea. The public loses interest, the people in power don’t take it seriously, and then it loses momentum.

are, so general vibes work here. But that’s the next step and it’s going to be difficult. At some point there needs to be a goal, and it needs to be AN goal not a list. A clear goal that can bring support of protesters, labor unions, environmental groups, etc. This is where occupy wall st fell apart

Not really. One size, keep it simple, works. The protests serve as community building, a way to feel less alone. Even people who are isolated or afraid of attending can see that there are others who are feeling the same way. That’s a net good. Not everyone is going to agree on what the real issues

Oh and many of the arguments that Young is making are the same made by Alex Jones. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to set a standard of better than Alex jones as a base expectation of research, logic, and credibility. If it were me, I’d think twice before offering her a platform again.

It’s worth clarifying, Biden didn’t reverse any policies. He changed how those policies were interpreted/enacted/enforced. The policies themselves remained on the books, and open to be abused again.

Reversing the policy is good but it’s not the same as accountability or prevention. His job was to stop Trump, that meant systemic changes that would prevent anyone from doing it again. Despite reversing policy enforcement, the people, departments, and laws that enabled them were left unchecked.
