When I tell boss that I cannot possibly do all this on my own - he says "you did so until now" "its not in the budget" and thats that. A boss telling me something like that will motivate me to look for another job. That’s toxic.

It's the downfall of being good at your job but not good enough to be promoted cause you're too good at what you do. I was legit told I was passed up for a promotion because the guy who applied for the position has GM experience but 0 office and warehouse experience.

Lesson one for young people willing to listen. Work never ends. The more you do the more you will be expected to do. You yourself need to establish a reasonable balance between your work life and your personal life. Don't expect your manager to do it for you.

Welcome to late stage capitalism! Employers want to do more with less because they want to put more money in the executives’ pockets. When people retire, they replace them with a non-livable wage employee.
